That’s exactly why capitalism began far away from them.
There was no money to be made back then.
Not even 100 years ago.
Today?
Those same remote places have become the favorite holiday playgrounds
for the world’s richest capitalists.
Let’s be honest:
Anyone who can fly for a holiday is already a rich capitalist.
Poor people don’t take holidays.
We visit our families — if we’re lucky.
Today, the world of surf has become just another billion-dollar business.
The invasion of capitalism, and the destruction of yet another local community,
has now arrived on the Canary Islands too.
Excess capitalism has already crowned greed, crime, and corruption
as kings of the western world.
Mafias, Bernie Madoffs, crypto kings —
they’ve paved the way for global crime.
Crime now rules the world,
and nobody says a thing.
Because everyone wants a piece of it.
No exceptions.
This is the reality of capitalism.
And that’s why they need a break.
Why they escape to the coast —
to take a holiday.
Or worse —
to stay.
To dream the local dream in the capitalist way:
No respect. No adaptation.
Just buying everything they can,
with crime money and zero integrity.
Make no mistake:
The world of capitalism is now ruled by crime money —
one way or another.
And now they bring it here —
into the innocent world of locals —
to discharge all their negative energy,
consciously or not.
